Playgroup

 Our Aim

To provide a safe, secure and stimulating play environment, where children are cared for and learn through well resourced and planned activities, whatever their race, culture, religion, means or ability.

Our CSSIW Inspection Report

Our Playgroup childcare setting was most recently inspected by the CSSIW (Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales) on 10th November 2016. We received a highly positive report with no recommendations for improvement, and we are very proud of the comments made by the inspector.

The complete report can be found on the following web link:

The overall summary stated:

"Borderbrook has many strengths, it is a fun and friendly place for the children to be. Children at the service are very happy and settled and as a result confident in their behaviour and in their interactions with practitioners and other adults. Practitioners have a very caring and highly relaxed approach which creates a calm and enjoyable service atmosphere for the children. The environment is suitable as children share the use of the school resources such as a woodland, pond and hard surface and grassed areas with large pieces of equipment. Leaders are well organised and documentation and records are effectively managed."

Learning and development through play

Playgroup offers a structured morning of early years activities which facilitate the children’s learning and development through play. The children thrive in the safe, secure, caring and respectful environment.

 Flexibility for Parents

Our playgroup children have a unique opportunity to explore in their own space whilst being fully integrated within the school. This enables playgroup children to socialise with older children and their siblings that are already attending the school.

Playgroup sessions are available every morning, 9:00-1:00pm for just £9.00.  We are registered to take children from 2 years onward. Children aged 3 years and above can stay on for Nursery in school from 1:00pm - 3:15pm, free of charge; offering you total flexibility.
