Summer Fayre and BBQ

11 July 2016 (by admin)

The children had some really great stalls at our Summer Fayre, Mrs Thomas came back to do the BBQ, and everyone had a super time!

Friday 8th July was Summer Fayre day, and the children used their creativity and numeracy skills to create and man their stalls in the playground. Everyone had a great time, there was lots to do and good fun was had by all. There was hook a duck, tin can alley, shooting goals, a tech stall, teddy tombola, face painting, treasure map, guess the number of sweeties in the jar, wine or water, bottle tombola, raffle and many other games and chances to win prizes. Mrs Thomas, now retired, came back to school to do the cooking on the camp fire BBQ, and everyone enjoyed having their outdoor lunch before the parents and other guest arrived. Even the weather was kind to us, and the sun cam out for a little while. Perhaps summer really is on its way? Not long now before the school holidays. Thank you very much to everyone who donated prizes and other items that made the whole day possible, to everyone who turned out to spend their pennies and help raise funds for the school, and especially to the children who made the day very special indeed. The school raised an amazing £435.00! Once again, thank you so much for your generosity.
